How To Make A PDF Portfolio That Clients Can Download
Here’s a neat little trick I’ve shown a few photographers how to do that I thought I would share.
Suppose you want to make a PDF of your portfolio for clients to download off the site. Here’s how you would do it:
1. Create a PDF on your desktop of your portfolio or of your best images.
2. Give it a simple name like portfolio.pdf
3. Go into your admin and hit the Advanced Tab. You will be in the Extra Files page.
4 Upload your PDF here.
5. The path to download the file will be http://yoursitename.com/extra/portfolio.pdf
Note: Any file you upload into the extra area will have the same path only the name will change on the end depending on what name you gave the file.
6. Put the full path on a page only use the redirect command so it opens the link:
REDIRECT:http://yoursitename.com/extra/portfolio.pdf
Note: Call the page whatever you like (Portfolio Download) and put that redirect command and the path as the only thing on the page where the text would normally.
7. That’s it. Easy.
